Application Procedures
These forms outline our application procedures and give you complete instructions to guide you through the process.
Preliminary Application
In order to begin the application process, please complete and return the preliminary application to the Admission Office with the appropriate application fee.
Application for Admission
Download, complete, and return the application for admission.
English Recommendation
Please submit the English Recommendation form to your current English teacher to complete and return directly to the Admission Office.
Mathematics Recommendation
Please submit the Mathematics Recommendation form to your current mathematics teacher to complete and return directly to the Admission Office.
Parent Statement
Your parents or guardians should complete and submit the Parent Statement to share their valuable perspective of you with the Admission Committee.
Personal Recommendation
The Personal Recommendation should be completed by an adult who knows you in a non-academic setting (such as a coach, member of the clergy, family friend, etc).
Transcript Release
Santa Catalina requires copies of your transcripts for your most recent two years of schooling. This should include grades from the current year through the end of the first semester. Please complete the Transcript Release form and give it to your Head of School or Counselor and ask that your transcript for the current year and last year be forwarded directly to the Santa Catalina School Admission Office. Please do not have your transcript sent until you have completed the first semester.
School Report
Please submit the School Report to your Head of School or Counselor to complete and return directly to the Admission Office.
Personal Interview
In addition to the forms listed above, the application process at Santa Catalina School requires that all candidates have a personal interview. During your morning visit to campus, you and your parents will have the opportunity to tour campus, visit classes and interview with Admission Staff members. We believe an on-campus visit is the best way for you to get to know Santa Catalina School, as well as for the Admission Committee to get to know you.
Standardized Testing
All applicants must also submit standardized test scores in order to complete the application process. Most students applying to Santa Catalina take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), however, the Admission Committee will also accept the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) or PSAT (for students applying for Grade 11).
