Kehillah Jewish High School is a co-eduational, college preparatory high school for Jewish students. Established in 2002, it is located in Palo Alto in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley. Kehillah’s new facility includes state-of-the-art science labs, computer lab, art studio, wireless internet access and interactive SMARTBOARDS in every classroom. The secular and Jewish studies curricula are challenging and engaging. The school offers a variety of clubs, competitive sports, social action projects and other extra-curricular activities. 100% of Kehillah’s first graduating class has been accepted to four-year colleges and universities, including Yale, Dartmouth, USC, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Tufts, NYU and Brandeis.

An 8th grade student’s application for admission to Kehillah includes:

  1. Parents’ completion of the Parent Questionnaire;
  2. Student’s completion of the Student Application;
  3. Release of student’s transcript from middle school and standardized test scores from previous school’
  4. Recommendations from student’s 8th grade English teacher, math teacher, and counselor or principal.*  All must be sent directly from the student’s school to Kehillah;
  5. Acceptable score on either the SSAT or ISEE (nationally administrered and normed high school admissions exams);
  6. Student interview with Kehillah administrator.

*A recommendation from a Jewish professional (rabbi, cantor, Hebrew teacher or youth group leader) is optional.

Shadowing at Kehillah for part or all of a school day is recommended. Refer to the Admissions Calendar for important dates in the admissions process.
