You may also call or email the Admissions Office or speak to an admissions representative at a high school fair or classroom visit.

The complete application packet includes: the Application for Admission, the Student Statement, two Parent Recommendations, the Transcript Request Form, the Entrance Exam Registration Form, the Principal’s Reference Form and the Math and English Reference Forms.

STEP TWO: SUBMIT APPLICATION MATERIALS

Applicants must submit the following application materials by January 14, 2008: the Application for Admission, the Student Self-Recommendation, the Parent Recommendation(s) and the Entrance Exam Registration Form.

Return all materials and the $250 application fee to the Admissions Office in the envelope included in the application packet.

STEP THREE: TRANSCRIPTS AND REFERENCES

Submit the Transcript Request Form and Academic Reference Requests included in the application packet to the applicant’s current school for completion.  Recommendations are required from three individuals: the principal of the student’s current school, her English teacher and her Math teacher.  The school should forward the documents directly to the FSHA Admissions Office.

STEP FOUR: INTERVIEWS

An Admissions Office representative will contact the applicant’s family to arrange an interview with the student and her parent(s) following receipt of the application materials.

STEP FIVE: ENTRANCE EXAM

If the applicant is unable to make it to FSHA to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on either December 8, 2007 or January 19, 2008, then she must take a similar entrance exam, the SSAT, Secondary School Admission Test. www.ssat.org

STEP SIX: NOTIFICATION

Notification letters will be mailed to each applicant on March 7, 2008 or once the Admissions Committee has considered the completed application.
