Crystal Springs Uplands School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school with 350 students in grades 6-12. We seek to enroll students who will balance an excitement for learning with a commitment to the life of the school by participating in athletics, arts, community service, and/or other extracurricular clubs.

Step 1: Request an Application Packet
You may contact us by calling the Admission Office (650-342-4175 ext.1511), or by completing the online application request form. If you leave a voice mail, please include all of the following information:
- Student’s first and last name
- Grade to which the student will be applying
- Student’s current school
- Parents’ first and last names
- Home address, home telephone number and an e-mail address
If you would like to sign up for an Open House at the same time, please leave the date you would like to attend and the number of people in your party. Open Houses are intended for applicants and their parents.
Step 2: Complete and return Part I: Parent/Guardian form(s) with:
- photo
- $75.00 application fee
Note: Upper School applicants will have two forms in Part I:
- Parent/Guardian Common Applcation Form
- CSUS Parent/Guardian Supplement
Step 3: Visit the School
Once we have received the Parent portion(s) of the application, the Admission office will contact the applicant to schedule a half-day visit. This campus visit will include an interview.
Step 4: Complete and return form
- Part II: Student Form
Step 5: Give recommendation forms to the following people after November 1:
- current Math teacher
- current English teacher
- last year’s core teacher (Middle School only)
- current school’s principal, counselor, or advisor
Note: it is recommended to include pre-addressed stamped envelopes to ensure the forms get mailed to CSUS’s Admission Office.
Step 6: Give Transcript Release form to current school’s office along with a pre-addressed & stamped envelope.
Step 7: Take Admission Test
CSUS requires prospective students to take one standardized test. The ISEE (middle and upper school) test will be administered at CSUS on December 6, 2008 and January 24, 2009, but applicants may take it at any test site as long as the test is taken by January 31, 2009. CSUS also accepts results from the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). See www.iseetest.org or www.ssat.org for more information. Please note that you must register for the tests directly with ISEE or SSAT. Informing this office that the applicant is taking the test on a particular date DOES NOT mean that the applicant is registered for the test. The Admission office can also be contacted for more information.
Step 8: (optional) Request Financial Aid application packet as soon as possible.
