Villanova is a Catholic, Augustinian, co-eduational, day and boarding high school, located on 127 acres in the Ojai Valley, 80 miles north of Los Angeles and 15 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. With a student to teacher ratio of 10:1, Villanova offers class size on the average of 15. A comprehensive sports and extra-curricular program with required community service round out the Villanova experience.

Ninth grade applicants whose applications are received and files completed by January 28th will be given first consideration in our Admission Committee review. Applications received after January 28th will be reviewed and acted upon as soon as the candidate’s file is complete on a space-available basis. Transfer (10th and 11th grade) applicants whose applications are received and files completed by March 18th, will be given consideration on a space-available basis.

A completed file includes: Application, Application Fee, Official Transcript, Test Score (SSAT or HSPT), School Recommendation, English Teacher Recommendation, Math Teacher Recommendation, and Student Writing Sample/Interest form. (Forms for download)

High School Placement Test (HSPT): Day students may take this test in order to complete their files. This test is administered once (January 26, 2008) at Villanova ($35.00 Testing Fee). Please call (805) 646-1464 to register for the HSPT. Scores from the test given at Villanova will be used to determine Merit Scholarships.

Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT): Students may take this test in order to complete their files. This test is administered once (December 8, 2007) at Villanova. Visit the SSAT Website to register. Please have scores sent directly to Villanova. The January SSAT is the last testing date for students who wish to be considered for early acceptance.

Villanova is committed to enrolling qualified students regardless of their economic status. Applicants for financial aid are required to file a financial statement with the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) and submit tax information to the school.
